Meet Our Board Member

He, My name is Matt Putnam. I am from the Stockbridge Munsee of Mohican Tribal Nation. I was born, raised, and have lived on the Stockbridge Munsee Reservation in WI.

I am known for teaching boxing to the youth, tribal history, genealogy, building canoes, and visiting elders. I have always worked in the community in any way that benefited the people.

For the future I hope that genuine education of who we are is understood in mainstream society. I would like to see our young ones take an interest in learning their culture and traditions so we do not lose any more of our knowledge.
